Google Adsense
Adsense is a contextual advertising system, whereby Google feeds content-relevant ads to your webpage. Each time a user clicks one of these ads, you earn a few cents. This may not sound like much, but if you successfully optimise your website to rank high on search engines (i.e. through effective keyword usage), you could be getting hundreds or thousands of clicks every day and this can really add up. Furthermore, it's the sort of service you can really just set and forget.Adsense is one of the most popular and simple ways to make money online, but it must not be abused. Actions such as clicking ads on your own website, or encouraging people to click the ads, will get you banned from Adsense, and any income you have earned by such means will have to be returned.
It's important to note that for most types of websites, there will be a limit to just how much money you can make from Adsense - after all, it depends on just how many visitors you can attract. Once you have achieved this initial success, however, you'll be very well prepared to begin building new websites or blogs and apply your experience to effectively double your income. And if you can keep thinking of popular topics for websites, there's no limit to the number you can make and the money you can earn.
In order to start up with Adsense, you'll first need a website. If you have some knowledge of HTML and CSS, you can build it yourself; otherwise you can purchase or download free templates. Once you have a website designed, you'll need to purchase a domain name and then get it hosted. After that, follow the easy instructions to register with Adsense. In no time you'll be on the way to paying off the initial costs of setting up the website, and from there, it's really up to you.
Google Adwords
Adwords is essentially the other end of Adsense. If you want to advertise your own website or blog on other websites or blogs for a low price, Adwords is the way to do it. You can set your daily limits and how much you want to bid for ad placement, so you'll know exactly what you're spending. There are several advantages to using Google Adwords. Unlike with search engines, you don't have to optimise your website (or you can send the user straight to a non-optimised landing page); you can instead make it all about selling your products. The user clicks your ad and is taken directly to the page you choose, which could simply be a sales pitch. And given that they've already clicked the ad for your product, chances are they'll be interested in buying.
If you use it right, Adwords can do wonders for your business, however large or small. Easy money.
