There are usually four google pagerank updates every year. That is, one in every quarter. !st of January, 1st of April, 1st of July, 1st of of October. Sometimes, Google skips an update and sometimes Google goes above the mentioned date while releasing the new pageranks through out the data centers.
I checked my pagerank on 1st April, I didn’t see any change. It was still PR3, I was thinking that there might have been a change but my pageranks just did not change. I did not check on the 2nd of April.
Yesterday, 3rd of April, I was on this random website which gathers all the data about your website like links, PR, Alexa rank, etc. and then tells you the value of your website. It was not until that, when I saw a 4 in front of the pagerank column.
Thinking it might be some flaw in that website, I rushed to several places to check the pagerank and turns out that I was right. My pagerank really did move from a pagerank 3 to a Pagerank 4. There really had been a pagerank update!
I wasn’t really expecting this, but I think that I should have. Over the past couple of months my search traffic from Google has taken an upward trend and my website is now getting better and more stable in the Google search engine result pages.
I used to have a lot of people on my blog striving to get on the top commentators list that I have in the sidebar. Where are they? I’m sure anyone would be interested in getting a PR4 link from the sidebar widget now , just through a little bit of commenting.
I’m not sure if I would be able to make it, but now, obviously my next target is a PR5. I’ll be needing tons of help with that. By the way, if you don’t know what Pagerank is, or want to know how to get a good pagerank then check out my article: How to get a good pagerank.
